Academics Past & Future
I graduated from Southwest High School in Fort Worth, Texas in 2020 and will be graduating from Texas Wesleyan University with a Bachelor of Science in Biology with a Teaching Certification in May of 2024.
Academic Achievements
I was inducted into the National Honor Society in High School and graduated in the top 11% of my class. During high school, I was involved in Band, Key Club, French Club, and 2 internships to help provide me with experience for my future career as a Teacher. I also worked in advocating for mental health by reaching out to my peers and sharing my story throughout my high school career.
Work & Internship Experience
Chuck E. Cheese Entertainment
December 2019 - Present
I chose to work at Chuck E. Cheese entertainment to get hands-on experience with working with children and their parents. Although it is not an academic-related job, I've learned how to communicate with parents, a skill that will be useful in my career, and how to talk to and work with children both young and old.
Tutoring
2016 - present
I work as a volunteer tutorial for anyone who reaches out to me. I've helped all children of all ages from elementary to high school, with math, science, and writing in particular.
PALs (Peer Assisted Learning) Internship
2018 - 2020
While attending high school I was a part of a peer assistant teaching program where I helped freshman biology students by working with them one on one and in groups to ensure they understood the curriculum. I prided myself in being a mentor and role model for them as a junior and senior in high school, helping several of them work through the mental and educational struggles they endured.
Westcreek Elementary School Intership
2019 - 2020
I worked with 4th graders at WestCreek Elementary School during my senior year of high school every Monday - Thursday. I was an assistant teacher for math, science, and social studies, pulling small groups and individuals who were struggling academically.
